Financial Independence Group (Fig) joins as launch partner and initial live client
Cincinnati, April 16, 2026–(business telegram)–Luma Financial Technologies (“Luma”), a global provider of technology solutions for structured products and annuities, today announced that its life insurance platform is now live with Financial Independence Group (FIG) serving as launch partner and initial live client. The platform gives financial professionals and distribution firms a more integrated way to manage life insurance across product discovery, quoting, underwriting, e-application, submission, policy placement and ongoing lifecycle management.
The launch marks Luma’s expansion into live life insurance transactions and expands the firm’s insurance capabilities beyond annuities. Built for advisors, distributors and home offices, the platform is designed to reduce operational friction by bringing key life insurance processes within the Luma ecosystem into a more streamlined workflow.
Life insurance has long been managed through a patchwork of systems, manual steps and disconnected processes that create inefficiencies for advisors and additional burden for operations teams. Luma’s platform is designed to simplify that experience by helping companies manage life insurance business more efficiently through post-sales support.
“We built this platform because the market needed it and demanded it,” said Tim Bonacci, CEO of Luma Financial Technologies. “When we announced our expansion into life insurance, the market response was immediate. Our partners wanted the same kind of connected, seamless experience in life that Luma already provides in annuities. Now that platform is live and we’re bringing to market a modern life insurance workflow that helps companies work more efficiently, support advisors more effectively, and manage the business in a more consistent way.”
With life insurance now integrated into Luma’s established annuity solution, companies using the platform can manage both lines of business in one place, helping to create greater continuity in the insurance workflow.
“We’ve been waiting for something like this for a long time,” said David Henry, executive vice president of Life Insurance for Financial Independence Group. “Other solutions in this space have not provided the value or ease of use that our advisors need. Luma stands out by providing an intuitive, objective experience, which is what our team needs most.”
To support Financial Independence Group’s onboarding, Luma has teamed up with iPipeline, a leading provider of electronic applications and insurance automation solutions, to integrate directly with their technology. The offering integrates directly with iPipeline’s iGO Evolve® and iGO® e-Apps, the most widely adopted electronic applications in the industry for life insurance. For the first time, a financial professional and distribution companies seamlessly navigate the entire life insurance journey in one connected workflow.
