Lowe's is set to open 5 stores in 3 states in 2026. see where

Lowe’s is opening five locations in three states this year that will feature the company’s new showroom design, the home improvement chain announced this week.

The five new stores will be in Texas, Kentucky and Florida, according to a news release emailed to USA TODAY.

Based in Mooresville, North Carolina, Lowe’s has more than 1,750 home improvement stores, 540 branches and 120 distribution centers. Most of the company’s stores are in Texas and Florida.

The company said Lowe’s “continues to advance its total domestic strategy in rapidly growing markets,” and said the brand saw comparable store sales increase by 1.3% in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Where are Lowe’s stores opening in 2026?

According to information gathered from Lowe & Company’s website, the following stores will open in 2026:

    • Port St. Lucie, Florida – 13845 SW Village Parkway (opening summer 2026)
    • Kaufman, Texas – 600 Kings Fort Parkway (opening summer 2026)
    • West Katy, Texas – 980 Heritage Oak Lane (opening summer 2026)
    • Willis, Texas – 12220 Interstate 45 N. (Starting Fall 2026)
    • Walton, Kentucky – 12100 Town Center Drive (opening fall 2026)

When asked, Lowe’s did not immediately provide opening dates for the five stores slated to open in 2026. However, the company said the Port St. Lucie, Florida, location will open in June.

What can customers expect in the new store?

The first store to open this year will be in Port St. Lucie, Florida, which will be the brand’s 133rd store in the Sunshine State. It will be the second Lowe’s in the city. The space will include a new showroom design with digital signage showcasing promotional offerings, more interactive product displays and new countertop experiences with larger slabs for customers to see unique designs and variety.

“Port St. Lucie is growing rapidly, and we are excited to support our neighbors and local businesses with everything they need for projects big and small,” District Manager Christian Redman said in the news release. “This store is designed to provide our community with the value, convenience and service they have come to expect from Lowe’s.”

It is the first of five new Lowe’s stores opening nationwide this year, and will feature a redesigned kitchen and appliance showroom.

Some of the new features announced by Lowe’s include:

    • Centralized sales desk for installation and service projects, with digital signage displaying promotional offers.
    • Product displays with vignettes for areas throughout the home.
    • Signage and QR codes that will allow customers to access online offerings.
    • Links to tools including a style quiz, budget calculator, and 3D visualizer.
    • Self-service paint kiosk for streamlined paint ordering.
    • Buy Online Pick Up In-Store (BOPIS) zone for quick pickup.

The remaining four Lowe’s stores opening this year will also have this new showroom design, and a limited number of existing Lowe’s stores will also be upgraded with the new design this year, Lowe’s said in the news release.
