Toyota is recalling more than 81,000 cars due to instrument panel defects.
According to a recall notice published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the instrument panel display fails to show critical safety information such as engine coolant temperature or electric charge.
The release said this problem increases the risk of an accident or injury.
Due to the problem, the instrument panel cluster combination meter may fail to display certain warnings or indicators, which means that the cars do not comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
Which vehicles are recalled?
The 81,893 affected vehicles include the following makes and models:
- 2025 Lexus UX Hybrid
- 2024 lexus gx
- toyota mirai
- 2024-2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid
What to do if you have a recalled vehicle?
Dealers are being asked to update the combination meter software free of cost. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 12.
Customers can contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. The notice states that the Toyota serial numbers for this recall are 26LB06, 26LA06, 26TB10 and 26TA10.
