Harley-Davidson is recalling about 17,000 motorcycles in the US because of a rear brake problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The agency says the rear brake line on affected models may contact the body control module (BCM), resulting in a hole in the brake line, leaking brake fluid and potentially causing rear brake failure.
The motorcycle manufacturer said it will replace the BCM caddy and related hardware free of charge. Additionally, the rear brake line will be inspected and, if damaged, replaced with relevant parts free of charge.
