Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA US, LLC) has recalled approximately 13,000 Ram pickup trucks due to a software error that could cause the driver to lose control of their vehicle.
The automaker has announced a recall of 12,736 2023-2025 Ram 2500 pickup trucks due to a powertrain control module software error that could cause the vehicle speed to exceed the tire speed rating, according to a recall report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This may cause loss of control of the vehicle. Chrysler estimates that this defect affects 100% of the recalled vehicles.
FCA US began investigating some of the mentioned pickup trucks in March and submitted a recall on May 7, the report said.
