One of the most important functions of corporate leaders is to ensure strong growth for the companies they are assigned to lead. We took a look at some big American corporations that are accomplishing that goal.

Worked closely with Business Insider Plant-A InsightsA leading insights and technology company that publishes business rankings in collaboration with world-class media brands to find the 500 largest US corporations that are showing strong growth in financial metrics such as earnings, revenue and more.

The list is based on looking at over 3,000 companies traded on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq and analyzing 11 financial growth metrics and how they stack up against their competitors (you can see the full list of metrics and detailed methodology below). The list covers a wide variety of industries, ranging from tech giants to major finance firms to major manufacturing companies.

Disclaimer: This ranking is based on an analysis of publicly available financial data reported by companies listed on the NYSE and Nasdaq during fiscal years 2020-2025. The results are not investment, financial or business advice. Readers should conduct their own due diligence and consult qualified professional advisors before making any financial or business decisions.

    Methodology

America’s High Growth Companies 2026 recognizes companies across the United States based on their performance across a series of key financial growth metrics.

The ranking identifies companies that have demonstrated successful growth over time, proving their ability to continually expand without compromising their overall financial health.

The study is based on a comprehensive assessment of the financial records of more than 3,000 US publicly listed companies on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq. Organizations were evaluated on their ability to sustain high-quality growth, and eligibility was limited to companies that have been public since 2020 and have achieved both minimum revenue and profitability of $100 million in fiscal year 2025.

Each company was evaluated on four key pillars of financial performance based on 11 metrics:

    • financial performance: Revenue, Revenue/Employee, Revenue vs. Industry Average, Enterprise Value/Revenue
    • Profitability Growth: EBIT(DA), EBIT(DA)/Employee, EBIT(DA) vs. Industry Average
    • Investor Value: Earnings Per Share, Returns vs. S&P 500, Market Penetration
    • Stability: Altman Z-score

Each metric was calculated by converting the total change between the starting and ending values over a one, three or five-year period into a constant compound annual growth rate (CAGR), with the exception of Altman Z-score and enterprise value/revenue, as they were used to measure the company’s absolute financial position at the end of their 2025 fiscal year.

Companies were disqualified if they reported negative revenue compound annual growth rates (CAGR) in all one-year, three-year and five-year timeframes. The valuation also excludes specialized investment vehicles and foreign entities, including exchange-traded funds (ETFs), mutual funds, American depositary receipts (ADRs), special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs), mortgage real estate investment trusts (MREITs), as well as media publishers.

Critical Mention, a media monitoring platform by Onclusive, was used to identify if companies were implicated in corporate wrongdoing between May 1, 2024 and May 1, 2026. The screening tracks regulatory and legal violations involving the DOJ and SEC, including active investigations, investigations, indictments, subpoenas, settlements, penalties, and sanctions. Any company found to engage in these practices was subsequently removed from the final ranking list. Business Insider and Plant-A Insights conducted several iterations of the media monitoring process to validate all exclusions and ensure the accuracy of the results.

The overall score for each company was calculated by combining the financial performance score, profitability growth score, investor value score and sustainability score using a proprietary scoring model. The 500 highest-scoring companies were recognized as America’s High Growth Companies 2026 by Business Insider and Plant-A Insights.

A company’s exclusion from this ranking does not reflect on its quality or performance and is not disputed.
