A recall has been issued for Kimchi and Tofu Kimbap product sold at ALDI stores in 19 states and Washington, DC, after it was discovered that the food may contain undeclared tuna, which could pose a serious risk to anyone with allergies.
This is one of several recalls of ALDI products in recent months, including more than 500,000 boxes of mac and cheese.

Fuchsia Asian Inspirations Kimchi and Tofu Kimbap Remembered
New Jersey-based Gellert Global Group announced July 2 that it was recalling its 8.1-ounce packages of ALDI brand Fuchsia Asian Inspirations Kimchi and Tofu Kimbap, citing potential contamination from undeclared tuna.
“People who have allergies or severe sensitivities to fish are at risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products,” according to the recall notice.
The packages, marked as best if used by October 8, 2027, were distributed at select ALDI locations in 19 states and one territory, including:

How was the problem identified?
Gellert Global Group said it became aware of the mistake after a customer reported that the product, which contained fish, came in packaging that did not mention the presence of fish.
The company said it launched an investigation, which revealed a “temporary malfunction” in its “production and packaging processes”, which was later fixed.
Gellert Global Group said no illnesses linked to the mistake have been reported.

Customers who purchased an 8.1 ounce package of ALDI brand Fuchsia Asian Inspirations Kimchi and Tofu Kimbap can return it to their point of purchase for a full refund.
