Warren Buffett said on Tuesday that he has not talked to him Microsoft “Since the whole thing with the Jeffrey Epstein files” was unveiled by founder Bill Gates.
“I haven’t talked to him at all since the whole thing broke,” Buffett told CNBC’s Becky Quick.
“I don’t want to be in a situation where I know things…to be called as a witness,” he said.
Asked if he was still good friends with Gates, Buffett spoke warmly of their history as friends.
But, Buffett said, “I think there’s no point in talking too much until it’s clear.
“I don’t want to be held under oath.”
Buffett spoke at length about notorious sex offender Epstein, whose friendship with Gates and other high-profile people has caused harm as details of their relationship have emerged in recent months with the release of the so-called Epstein files.
Buffett said, “It’s amazing to me that anyone can be so successful as a swindler.”
Buffett said, “Men will like sex… and some of them will like not paying taxes, and he has discovered their weaknesses.”
