Trader Joe’s has confirmed a national release date for its latest large canvas tote bag.
The newest addition to the grocery store’s highly coveted tote bag line will hit stores this week in a brand new style: lavender and pink.
Trader Joe’s spokesperson Nakia Rohde previously confirmed to USA TODAY on March 11 that “the next new bag will be a larger canvas bag with lavender handles and a pink logo.” Rohde said, although there was no set release date at the time, the tote bags are now expected to be available in Trader Joe’s stores nationwide starting Monday, March 23.
“This is a limited-time product, and availability will vary from store to store,” Rohde wrote in a March 20 email to USA TODAY. “If customers have questions about a product’s availability, each of our neighborhood stores has friendly crew members ready to help.”
Trader Joe’s bags have a history of attracting crowds and love from grocery shoppers. People lined up at their local Trader Joe’s for the mini pastel canvas tote bags like it was Black Friday in 2024, and they made the same impact when they were re-released earlier this month.
The pastel mini canvas tote bag, which retails for $2.99, returns in the same colors as last year, including the company’s delicate pink, baby blue, mint green and lovely lavender. Measuring approximately 13 inches tall, 11 inches tall and 6 inches wide, the mini bags are ideal for “short shopping trips.”
In comparison, the size of the large tote bag is expected to be similar to other large tote bags sold by Trader Joe’s, measuring approximately 20 inches in length, 14 inches in height, and 6 inches in width. Each large tote costs $3.99, the Democrat & Chronicle, part of the USA TODAY Network, reported. Other large totes sold by Trader Joe’s had navy blue or green handles.
