Golf legend Tiger Woods was found by police in his pants pocket after a rollover crash last week in Florida that left him with two opioid pills, an arrest affidavit released Tuesday shows.
Woods, 50, also had “bloodshot and glassy eyes,” “extremely dilated pupils,” and was “sweating profusely” when a sheriff’s deputy arrived at the scene of a two-car crash in Jupiter, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office affidavit says.
“Woods’ movement was sluggish and slow,” the deputy wrote in the affidavit.
“I asked Woods if he had any alcoholic beverages to drink today, to which he replied ‘none,'” the deputy wrote.
“I asked Woods if he took any prescription medications, to which he replied, ‘I take some,'” the deputy wrote.
During a search, police found “two white pills” inside the golfer’s left pants pocket, according to the affidavit. Identification of the marks revealed that the pills were hydrocodone, an opioid drug.
Woods submitted to a breath test, which found no alcohol in his system. But according to the police, he refused to submit to the urine test.
Woods was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, destruction of property, and refusing to submit to a urine test.

The golfer continued to deal with the consequences of that accident, undergoing multiple surgeries.
Woods was arrested for DUI in Florida in May 2017 after police found him sleeping in a damaged car.
Following that arrest, the prescription drugs Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanax, Ambien were found in his system, as well as THC, the psychoactive chemical in marijuana.
A month after his arrest in that case, Woods entered a clinic for prescription pain medication and treatment for a sleep disorder.
