    According to a recent study from AAA and Bread Financial, 61% of Baby Boomers plan to travel in 2026, with 57% admitting that they will plan trips around important events. While everyone has their own reasons for planning a vacation, many senior citizens are looking to go on a relaxing vacation in 2026.

    GOBankingRates consulted travel experts to learn about four cheap cruises in 2026 that a growing number of people are booking and what makes them attractive.

    1. Western Caribbean

    • Average price: $450 to $900 for five to seven nights

    “Cruises in the Western Caribbean are still one of the most budget-friendly options and affordable cruises out of Florida,” said senior adventure travel advisor Brian Raffio. climbing kilimanjaro.

    3. Mediterranean

    • Average price: $650 to $900 for seven nights

    “Of course, these cruises have stops in places like Santorin, Dubrovnik and Naples,” Raffio said. “Boomers enjoy cruise destinations because they are rich in history, and locations are easy to navigate on foot and without the hassle of getting from one hotel to another in many countries.”

    If you’re lucky, you can find a departing cruise in the Eastern Mediterranean for less than $900, giving you a unique experience on a budget.

    4. Mexican Riviera

    • Average price: $500 to $750 (seven nights from California)

    Raffio found that boomers are booking cruises departing from Los Angeles or San Diego with stops in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. The main attractions for boomers with this cruise are the warm weather, beach relaxation, historic cities and local cuisine tours that are close to America.
