    A specific eating plan that aims to lower blood pressure and incorporates key principles of the Mediterranean diet may slow the structural changes caused by brain aging — and the effect could be up to 2.5 additional years of brain health. This is the conclusion of recent research published in a journal of the British Medical Association. All adults experience some normal shrinkage of the brain as they age.
