FARGO – Navigating personal finances can often seem complicated, from interest rates and market trends to everyday financial decisions involving insurance, investing and long-term planning.

Bell Bank formed in partnership with Forum Communications Company

    “Plain money talk,”

A six-episode podcast series to bring clarity to those conversations.

    hosted by

Jay Gabler of the Duluth News Tribune,

The podcast features a rotating panel of Bell Bank financial experts who break down complex financial topics into clear, practical insights. Each episode focuses on real-world questions about the economy, personal finance and financial planning, giving listeners a straightforward approach to understanding the issues that impact financial decision making.

“Financial decisions can be overwhelming, especially with so much information,” said Patrick Chafee, executive vice president of banking, wealth management and insurance at Bell Bank. “‘Plain Money Talk’ was created to simplify those conversations and help people feel more confident in the choices they make every day.”

In a recent episode, the podcast explored common insurance myths and misconceptions. From assumptions about vehicle type and premiums to questions about property damage and liability, Gabler is joined by Josh Brown, personal insurance advisor at Bell Bank, to examine widely held myths and provide context on how insurance decisions fit into a broader financial strategy.

While episodes may focus on specific topics, “Plain Money Talk” covers a wide range of financial topics, including economic trends, investment strategies and everyday money management. The podcast is designed to provide consistent, accessible information from experienced financial professionals.
