    Video of Trump attack suspect Cole Allen released by Pirro

    A dramatic video recently released by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro shows Cole Thomas Allen storming the Washington Hilton Hotel on April 24, and then, the next night, breaking into a Secret Service checkpoint outside the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where President Donald Trump was scheduled to give a speech.

    Video, Joe Piro Posted on x On Thursday evening, a Secret Service officer is shown drawing his handgun and firing multiple times at Allen as he ran toward the checkpoint with a long gun in his hands.

    Pirro said investigators found no evidence to indicate that a Secret Service agent who was hit by gunfire was shot by another member of law enforcement, but did not elaborate on that claim.

    Officials have said the agent was not seriously injured because the shot was stopped by protective gear.

    “Today, we are releasing the video previously provided to the U.S. District Court showing Cole Allen shooting a U.S. Secret Service officer during an attempt to assassinate the President at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner,” Pirro wrote in a post on X.

    He said, “There is no evidence that the shooting was the result of friendly fire. The video also shows Allen opening fire in the area of ​​the Hilton Hotel the day before the attack.”

    “With my office @FBI We will continue this extensive investigation to bring Cole Allen to justice,” Pirro said.

    Allen, 31, is accused of attempting to assassinate Trump and other crimes.

    Earlier on Thursday, the Torrance, California resident had given up his right to challenge his detention in jail pending the hearing of the case in the US District Court in Washington DC, although his lawyer said he retained the right to challenge it in the future.
