US President Donald Trump has told Iran to “get serious quickly” about a peace deal with Washington or be prepared to face consequences.

“They better get serious soon, before it’s too late, because once that happens, there’s no going back, and it won’t be pretty either!” Posted on Truth Social Thursday morning.

The president described Iranian negotiators as “very aloof” and “weird” and said they were “begging” the US to reach a deal to end the nearly four-week war.

Trump’s comments come after contradictory statements from Washington and Tehran regarding the status of peace talks. The US has said negotiations are underway over a proposed peace plan, while Iran denies any direct talks with Washington.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi Allegedly He told state media on Wednesday that officials were reviewing a US proposal to end the war, but said Tehran had no intention of negotiating with the US.

He said the exchange of messages between the two countries through intermediaries “does not imply dialogue with the US,” Reuters reported.

In his Truth Social post, Trump hit back at Iranian comments on the matter, saying the country has been “militarily destroyed, with no possibility of return.”

“Yet they say publicly that they are only ‘considering our proposal.’ WRONG!!!,” the President said.

Reportedly preparing to send to America thousands more soldiers Which can be rapidly deployed for possible additional military action. America can try Seize Kharg Island oil port Or reopen the strait if talks falter, analysts told CNBC. CNBC has contacted the White House and is awaiting response.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Parliament of Iran, X Posted on Wednesday That intelligence revealed that “Iran’s enemies” were planning to capture “one of the Iranian islands” with the support of an unnamed country in the region.

Military experts outlined three possible attack scenarios to CNBC, saying the buildup of U.S. troops points toward a possible time-limited operation rather than a sustained ground campaign.

There are signs that Iran’s Gulf neighbors are also losing patience with Iran following attacks on their own energy infrastructure.

Earlier on Thursday, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and several other Gulf countries issued a joint statement condemning Iran’s “criminal” attacks and signaling readiness to act in “self-defense” in the future.
