Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett told a House subcommittee on Tuesday that the “threat level” against her and other federal judges is “really high” as they testified about the high court’s budget request.
“Those statistics seem abstract, but when they are obtained, they are not,” Barrett told the panel.
Barrett, who was testifying alongside Justice Elena Kagan, also told the panel that she was given a bulletproof vest by her security after an opinion was leaked to a news outlet overturning a Supreme Court decision that said there is a constitutional right to abortion.
