Enoki mushrooms sold in several states are being actively recalled due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination, according to two notices posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The recall involves two brands of enoki mushrooms, which were sold in 150-gram bags and samples of their product tested positive for Listeria bacteria. Affected products include IQ Enoki Mushrooms with the code “UI775”, as well as HH Fresh Trading Enoki Mushrooms with the code “4711498860002”.
The FDA says the HH Fresh Trading enoki mushrooms were sold exclusively at local wholesalers in Florida and Texas.
Officials are urging consumers who purchased the recalled enoki mushrooms to return them to their place of purchase for a full refund.
