Bostonian, Wingler’s recently released book offers a blueprint for retirement planning

Published on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 12:09 pm

Retirement planning experts Raymond Bostian and Christopher Wingler have published their new book, “The Basics of Retirement: What You Need to Know to Plan for a Better Retirement.”

According to a release, the book “provides a comprehensive guide to developing a personal retirement plan that provides long-term financial security and peace of mind,” drawing on insights and practical strategies to present an approach based on today’s financial realities.

Retirement Basics: What You Need to Know to Plan for a Better Retirement is an educational resource that addresses real-life retirement planning challenges and highlights how much the retirement landscape has changed from traditional expectations. With employer-sponsored pensions rapidly disappearing, many pre-retirees face the enormous financial burden of retirement planning without adequate guidance or knowledge.

The new book simplifies complex topics and provides a highly strategic, step-by-step approach to modern retirement planning. The book covers income stability, risk exposure, tax implications, and emotional adjustment, incorporating 50 years of industry experience into a comprehensive framework for retirement success. Based on financial planning techniques developed through thousands of client interactions, it helps Americans enter their golden years with structured planning and confident decision making.

Bocian has helped thousands of people achieve complete financial independence in retirement. He is the Founder/President of Bostonian Retirement Planning & Wealth Management, where he has served clients for more than 50 years, along with his wife, Linda, who is Vice President of the firm. Since 1999, his firm has been accredited by the BBB with an A+ rating.

Wingler is an investment advisory representative at Boston’s firm. As Bostian’s son-in-law, Wingler initially worked part-time at the family company, but soon turned his passion for retirement planning into a full-time career. Currently, he holds a Series 65 license, as well as life, health, Medicare supplement, and long-term care insurance licenses. As an active retired teacher, he has taught classes at local community colleges.

Boston Retirement Planning & Wealth Management has been a Roco Gold Winner for the last two years, 2024 and 2025.
