    The U.S. luxury housing market varies dramatically by region, according to a new Realtor.com Analysis. While established coastal metropolises offer smaller, older luxury homes at high prices, fast-growing Sun Belt and Midwest markets are offering newer, larger properties – often for less than $1 million.

    Even with a seven-figure budget range, buyers can still find modern luxury homes in these emerging markets. Here are six metro areas where the top 10% of listings are newer than the national average, ranked by the average year the homes were built.

    1. Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford, Florida

    • Median year built for top 10%: 2013

    2. Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, Minnesota-Wisconsin

    • Starting price for the 10% most expensive listings: $994,071
    • Median year built for top 10%: 2012

    3. San Antonio-New Braunfels, Texas

    • Starting price for the 10% most expensive listings: $749,566
    • Median year built for top 10%: 2012

    4. Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, Texas

    • Starting price for the 10% most expensive listings: $929,272
    • Median year built for top 10%: 2010

    5. Houston-Pasadena-The Woodlands, Texas

    • Starting price for the 10% most expensive listings: $776,561
    • Median year built for top 10%: 2010

    6. Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia, North Carolina-South Carolina

    • Starting price for the 10% most expensive listings: $897,204
    • Median year built for top 10%: 2008
